	Vishnu - god of sun. Ruler over the world. Represented with blue body and four arms. Builds the Trimurti with Brahma and Shiva. His other incarnations are Avatara, Mohini, Hari und Nara. Married with Lakshmi.
	Brahma - the creator. Seventh incarnation of Vishnu. Ruler over the world and the gods. Successor of Prajapati. Married with Saraswati. Father of humans, of Kamadeva and of Daksha. Builds the Trimurti with Vishnu and Shiva.
	Shiva - the gracious. God of Destroying and the mountains. He emerged from Rudra. Married with Parvati. Father of Ganesha and Kartikeja. Represented with one or three heads. He has a good and a bad side. Builds the Trimurts with Vishnu and Brahma.
	Lakshmi - goddess of fortune and beauty. Married with Vishnu. Was born through an ocean of milk. Represented with a Lotus in her hands. Her incarnation is Sita, who was the wife of Rama.
	Saraswati - goddess of wisdom and eloquence. Married with Brahma. Sprang out of Brahmas head.
	Parvati - divine mother. Married with Shiva and mother of Viraka. Her incarnations are Durga and Uma.
	Ganesha - god of wisdom and the traders. Ruler of the Ganas. Son of Shiva and Durga. Represented as a little fat man with a head of an elephant.
	Durga - Mother of gods. Ruler over life and death. An aspect of Parvati. Daughter of the Himalaya, married with Shiva and mother of Ganesha. Represented as double figur, as grace goddess and as Kali, the dreadful.
	Kali - the black. Death-goddess and patroness and Deamonconquerer. An aspect of Durga. Married with Shiva. Represented with a hideous face.
	Krishna - the black. A godlike hero. Eighth incarnation of Vishnu. Son of Vasuveda and Devaki. Married with Rukmini.
	Indra - god of storm and d firmament. Ruler of rain and fruitfulness. One of the twelve Adityas. Son of Kashjapa and Aditi, married with Salchi. Was murdered by the deamon Indrajit.
